History of Iolanda German Shepherds

Find
out a bit about us......
Gerry and I started in German
Shepherds in 1976 as pet owners, and then went on to Obedience, closely
followed by showing. By the early 80's we were gaining "Tickets"
"Reserve Tickets" and "Junior Warrants" all with home
bred stock.
We moved to our present premises
in 1986 and had a great time building the kennels, of which there are
24.
After Gerry passed away,
I thought about retiring from showing and breeding, but the thought of
what Gerry would say gave me the boost to keep on going, and very quickly
made another Champion with Iolanda Rene, who gained 3 tickets at 3 shows.
I have since gone from strength to strength with my dogs. I also do a
little boarding, mainly for the owners of dogs I have bred.
I imported a new dog last
year from Croatia, "Mark Od Gim A" his lines being the best
of both my worlds, his sire being Italian (Max dell Alpe Adria) and the
German side, his dam "Telga von Wienerau".
I have just brought a bitch
into the country from the Batu kennels in Germany and I have one more
due here soon from the Batu and another from the Zelldwaldrand Kennels
they will be here soon.
I am a specialist kennel
who over the years have produced numerous Champions, CC, RCC, JW and multiple
Championship Show winners.
I have always been renowned
for my quality bitches and presently have some excellent females in the
kennel, not only are they winners but are producers as well.
My "Iolanda" bred
dogs have won and are winning for their owners at Open and Championship
shows. 2004 started well for the kennels with many Championship and Open
show wins and I am optimistic and excited about the future. Besides my
established winning/producing team I have some extremely promising young
stock.
All breeding stock are x-rayed
and all males are harmophila tested.
All enquiries receive the
personal attention of myself. Why not pay me a visit where you will be
assured of a very friendly greeting from all of us at "Iolanda Kennels".
I can be found on Cromwell
Road, Wisbech just of the A47.
